This piece was completely experimental and born from a series of random happenings. I honestly don't know what to think when I look at it. Yay or nay? What is working/not working? Help a brother out and give me some feedback.

100% yay...I'm glad you're leaning this way with your work, it's totally you. I really like the natural aspect of the piece, and I think by working on a wood cut it def. get's your "earth tone" effect across.

Really like the way it turned out. I liked that you didnt do much more to the composition. I would stay with the mixed media direction for a while and expierement. Start planning out the comp and then use the matierals to fill the spaces
